You’ve probably noticed the new ads appearing in the right navigation bar of my blog. I decided to join the “featured publisher” program at foodbuzz.com, a fun community for food enthusiasts. I’d like to share my reasons why I decided to try this program.
First, it’s been a fun community to explore. While not exclusively vegetarian, I’ve still had fun browsing all the food entries generated by the enthusiastic users of the site.
Second, I’m hoping to gain some exposure for my site. I’ve been really excited since revamping my blog earlier this year, and I want the whole world to know!
Time is my greatest friend, as I know the more I post as the months go on, people will find my musings. But it also can’t hurt to have some support from a large foodie community!
Third, I will disclose that I should see some revenue generated from the ads, but to be honest, I’m not in this to make money. I just don’t ever see my site being that popular and making loads of cash. I do hope any ad revenue will provide a little extra cash that I can put back into the blog… maybe enough to afford a hosting service so I can expand and improve my blog without the restrictions set by the free wordpress account… or maybe enough to buy some cool veg stuff that I can give away to my readers! You get the idea.
Fourth, I’ve requested that no meat-related ads run on my blog. Foodbuzz agreed to filter those types of ads out. Should you ever visit this blog and witness a meat-related ad, please note what kind of ad it is (product name?) and send me an e-mail at veggiecookster AT gmail DOT com so I can alert Foodbuzz and have that specific ad filtered.
If you haven’t explored foodbuzz… check it out and let me know what you think!

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! Whether you are coupled or single, I hope everyone has a wonderful day and does something nice for themselves or a loved one. My hubby is making a surprise dinner for me tonight… and I’m making him cinnamon rolls this morning for breakfast! Will report back tomorrow, if you can stand to read one more mushy V-Day post! :-p

I hope you get some visitors from FoodBuzz! I have never seen a meat related ad from them on my site.
